2013 TV in Review and a Look Ahead to 2014

We will be back here with a new episode of TV times Three later this week, as we’ve been on a three week holiday hiatus. The first two because of Christmas and New Year’s and the third because I (@theTVaholic) was attending New Media Expo 2014 (@NMX) in Las Vegas, which was great except for one little thing, and then a little golfing vacation, which was not so great because of that one little thing. Namely, I woke up the morning after the conference sick and still haven’t shaken it. I’ve been able to make it through five Comic-Cons and last year’s NMX without getting sick, but this year my luck ran out.

But, I was able to meet some great new people at a TV/Movie podcasters breakfast meetup, many whom you will probably hear on future TVx3 episodes. I also recorded a special podcast episode from the podcast pavilion on the expo floor with Darrell Darnell (@Mardarrell) from Golden Spiral Media (@GSMPodcasts). They presently do the Almost Human Podcast and The Revolution Podcast among others and used to do The Fringe Podcast. Darrell asked me if I’d join him to talk some TV, a subject that I love to talk about. And, since we were the last to go, we didn’t have to stick to the normal hour slots and ended up going just over 90 minutes.

In the Podcast Special: 2013 TV in Review episode we recorded, we covered our 10 favorite shows of 2013, our three favorite new shows of 2013 and our three biggest disappointments of 2013. Then we closed the show talking a little bit about the five, or so, shows we each are looking forward to in 2014.

Shows we covered are: The 100, Almost Human, The Americans, Arrow, The Blacklist, Black Sails, Breaking Bad, Broadchurch, Castle, Continuum, Crisis, Crossbones, Defiance, Doctor Who, Falling Skies, The Following, Fringe, The Good Wife, Hannibal, Helix, Hostages, Intelligence, Justified, Orphan Black, Person of Interest, Psych, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Resurrection, Revolution, Suits, and Under the Dome.

Can you guess which shows made which list? Listen to the podcast over at Golden Spiral Media to find out.
