TVx3 E030: Getting Upfront About the Fall 2009 TV Schedule

This week, we weighed in on the announcements last week by ABC, CBS, The CW, FOX, and NBC about what new shows will be debuting, what shows will be returning, and what shows won't on the Fall 2009 TV Schedule. We each talked about the shows we think have potential, what shows we will miss, and what shows have moved where. Last week we talked about what looks good for Summer 2009 TV.

Since the networks' announcements were the news, we pretty much just jumped right in with thoughts on the Fall 2009 TV Schedule. We went network-by-network and talked about what ABC, CBS, The CW, FOX, and NBC have in store for us this fall. Shows we touched on included Community, Cougar Town, Day One, Dollhouse, Flash Forward, The Forgotten, Fringe, Glee, The Mentalist, Three Rivers, and many others.

Lastly, we did a brief primetime wrap-up, where we talked about the season finales of Grey's Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother, and Prison Break.

  1. Hi guys!

First I just want to get my congrats out of the way. All of the tv podcasts I regularly listen to are now either defunct or lacking in the update department so you guys have filled the void quite nicely. I’d go far to say as you are now my favorite of all the podcasts I listen to. Hopefully you continue for many episodes to come because I’d be sad to see you guys go!

Now I have some suggestions for future show topics since were entering summer and there wont be a lot going on until probably late July news-wise.

    Suggestion #1:

If you were given total control to create a new show, what kind would it be? What network would it air on? Who would be your dream cast?

    Suggestion # 2:

What movies do you think could make a successful leap to television and vice versa and what ones would you guys like to see regardless of whether or not it would be successful.

    Suggestion # 3

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the past television season as a whole. What were your highlights and lowlights? What do you hope to see in the future with your fav shows and what mistakes that the networks made this season do you not want to see repeated?

I have a ton of these, just throwing them all out there because I totally love the podcast and would listen to you guys talk about anything really. Keep up the awesome work!
