Ever wondered how we got into TV blogging? Well, listener Patty did, as she left a comment June 11th, 2009 on Ep.32 that included the following question:
What got you into blogging about TV? Was it a particular show or did you blog before and just evolve into a TV blogger?
So, we decided to answer it on the podcast and we each briefly talked about how we got into TV blogging. Well, briefly may be understating it, but what else is new?
But, first we chatted about a few news items about T.R. Knight, Katherine Heigl, Brian Austin Green, and the swapping of The Wretched Beast and Gossip Girl on The CW Mondays this fall.
After covering our news and the topic, we talked a bit about Pushing Daisies, Primeval, Greek, The Closer, So You Think You Can Dance, Burn Notice, and Royal Pains.
Lastly, we talks briefly (there it is again) about some upcoming shows like ABC Family's Make It or Break It and 10 Things I Hate About You and the ABC miniseries Impact.

My question ended up being pretty interesting (at least to me!) so thanks for answering! I also think it’s fun that all my favorite TV bloggers all talk about each other (GMMR and Ducky plus Jody. Who else? Seat 42F too) Maybe I love all you guys so much because I feel like I know everyone you talk about.
Jason, I am with you. The best job ever would be to watch TV and write about it all the time!
All I could think of while listening to this podcast was that Amrie sounds so much like Kathy Griffin–and giggles like the Pillsbury Doughboy.
After hearing about “The Hugga Bunch Special” for two weeks, I finally checked it out on YouTube. I TOTALLY remember watching that as a kid–I had completely forgotten about that show, but it all came back as soon as I started watching!
However, I do remember watching “Zoobilee Zoo” in the morning while waiting to go for swim lessons.
Hey Guys,
I know this probably fits better with the other episodes but I thought I would just make one big comment lol.
How I found you guys:
I actually found you guys via iTunes, I was looking for a good t.v. podcast because Tvguide talk went off the air and Primetime Pulse was on a never ending ‘summer’ Hiatus (That actually recently ended so i guess its not really never ending lol) and I started listening and I was hooked and i couldn’t wait for the next installment to come and then got hooked on blogs and twitters 🙂
Shows to watch from down under:
All I have is two the first is Packed to the rafters :
Like i said before this show is AMAZING, it is my favorite show of the last t.v. season, everything about it was just perfect, okay maybe not perfect but it was really good television.
The premise of the show is a simple one, after 25 years of raising their children the parents finally get the house to them selves, they are ‘free at last’, but the house doesn’t stay empty for long as the family all returns in one way or another.
Here is a promo for the show:

Also the news story i mentioned about Packed to the rafters being eyed for a USA Remake:

The other show is called Underbelly, its the other hit Aussie drama and I hear its pretty good, I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet so i can’t really comment on it.
Anyways before I go I have a small confession which will probably turn you guys against me lol. Not only do i like ‘the wretched beast’ (well season 1-4. 5/6 have been…’okay’) but I The secret life of the American teenagers who can’t keep their pants on is my guilty pleasure, its SOOO BAD, its got horrible writing, bad acting, but I keep watching and i find myself ‘enjoying it’ so its totally my guilty pleasure..so here is a suggestion for a topic, what are your T.V. Guilty pleasures?
So why all the hate on “Impact”?! I watched the 2 episodes back to back yesterday off the DVR and I found it really entertaining Granted you need to suspend your scientific disbelief, and the fact that those 2 kids would be totally messed up after what they went through–they seemed way too calm about death and losing family members.
