TVx3 E060: Spring TV Preview 2010

We started off the episode with a few TV related news items: FX pushing their new comedy Louie to the summer, Kevin Eubanks soon to be leaving The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, The CW announcing pick-ups for five of their shows, The Vampire Diaries, 90210, Supernatural, Gossip Girl and America's Next Top Model for next season, Kiefer Sutherland's surgery not delaying the broadcast schedule of 24, FOX pulling Past Life from their schedule, FOX announcing the season finale dates for 24, Glee, House, Bones, Fringe, and American Idol, and William Shatner being cast as the dad in the potential new series Sh*t My Dad Says.

Next, we went through the Spring TV 2010 schedule and gave you premiere dates for the new and returning shows and then we discussed the ones we were most looking forward to, including ABC Family's 10 Things I Hate About You, FOX's Glee, FX's Justified, HBO's The Pacific, NBC's Parenthood, TNT's Saving Grace and many others.

Then, we talked a little Primetime that included The Amazing Race S.16 Ep.1, Life Unexpected S.1 Ep.5, Greek S.3 Ep.14, Lost S.6 Ep.4, and Psych S.4 Ep.13.

Lastly, Jason updated his progress on watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel through for the first time. Mostly, we talked about the “Once More, With Feeling” episode of Buffy S.6, which is the musical episode.

  1. Another great episode–looking forward to all the upcoming new TV. Also, hearing the discussion of “Once More With Feeling” made me want to watch again–and I just saw it a month ago. It’s great to have Amrie there to add the musical clips in real time–saves time on the post production 🙂

  2. Kyle, I believe you’re right on the name, but I wasn’t sure, as I’ve only seen it in print and never actually heard it pronounced.

    Yeah, never have to go searching for any music clips with Amrie on the podcast.
