This episode was recorded sitting outside the beautiful Portafino Bay Hotel at Universal in Orlando, FL. We were all there for the Fourth Annual Syfy Digital Press Tour and decided that it might be fun to actually record an episode of the podcast while we were all together in one place. We will have more about the press event in next week's podcast.
As usual, we started things off with a couple of TV related news items, moved on to our TV on DVD picks, and then we discussed three shows from last week in our Primetime segment, which included a couple of special guests: Kenn Gold from Media Blvd Magazine and Greg DeWitt. See pictures of where we recorded and the wedding dress mentioned on the podcast below.

I really wish everyone would watch The Good Guys. People should really be watching this, it’s a fantastic show. Very funny and something different to your usual cop procedural drama. The ratings are very bad and I just know it won’t get picked up for a 2nd season. If it is cancelled I really hope they shop the show around to a few networks. It think it’ll work on USA. Poor Bradley Whitford, I still miss Studio 60 π
Daniel, It’s too bad FOX didn’t keep it as just a summer show.
That location looks perfect for some sort of super-secret spy meeting/hand-off!
The only TV on DVD I’m looking forward to this week is Shaun The Sheep – Season 1. So glad this is finally getting released in the US (I refuse to buy best of/individual episode dvds). I’ve seen a few random episodes and it looks like a fun series–I’m a big fan of the Aardman Animations stuff.
I take back my TV on DVD pick of the week–just received it in the mail (was ordered for me as a birthday git preorder). Besides using an unnecessarily huge DVD case, they also produced the Shaun The Sheep DVD in 1.33:1 Full Frame Pan & Scan for the US–unlike the 16:9 widescreen UK release.
I guess I need to replace my pick with Rae’s “mention” as I kind of enjoyed Accidentally on Purpose when it aired–or maybe I’m just forgetting how bad it was π
Kyle, That’s lame and doesn’t really make any sense these days. As for Accidentally on Purpose, it wasn’t quite as bad as Rae makes it out to be, but it wasn’t really purchase worthy good either.
