What do you think about Alcatraz thus far? Are you sick of the “Red John” stuff on The Mentalist like we are? What did you think of The River series premiere? What did you think of this week's guests? Let us know in the comments, send us an eMail, connect via Twitter, or Like us on Facebook.
OMG, maybe I need to be fitted for a tin foil hat, but I love this whole Pink Jane/Red John theory! But only if they back it up with flashbacks to show how it was done, using actual footage from old episodes.
It was great to hear Megan (well, sort of–Megan, you need a new microphone! :)) for the first time, and Carla again on the show.
Despite the fact that I’m not watching 3 of the shows you covered (a first!), I still enjoyed the episode.
Kyle, There was a lot of feedback when Carla or I was talking, in addition to Megan’s audio not always coming through clearly. So, I think it may have been the Skype connection with Megan more than her microphone. I was able to cleanup much of the feedback, but wasn’t able to do anything about her sounding like she was calling from a submarine at times. At any rate, it still amazes me that I am able to call someone in Chicago and Toronto at the same time from Seattle for free and record it all.
Regarding Person of Interest (POI), I have become incredibly impressed with this show. I was glad to hear your discussion of POI included in this podcast. I would like to assert the thought that I think POI is creating a excellent base for not only the basic CBS procedural for occasional viewers, but it seems POI is really setting the background for some very interesting story arcs in future episodes. As was mentioned, Elias is lurking out there. I look forward to seeing that arc develop. The hacker recently introduced appears to be intriguing. The CIA and backstory for Reese is really interesting to me. And the list could just go on and on. IMO, it seems like this show has tons of potential with a creative team running POI.
Jason- I have a confession I was in a submarine. 🙂
Kyle- I don’t care if they show flashbacks or not, Red John is not allowed to be Patrick Jane because then he killed his own family– that makes him lose all the love I have for him as a character, and I would be really upset. So seeing as my feelings are obviously what the show writers take into consideration, it won’t happen. LOL.
